There are 5 things in life you cannot recover: A stone...after it's thrown. A word...after it is said. An occasion...after it's missed. The time...after it's gone. A person...after they die. Life is short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably. Never regret anything that made you smile. Enjoy Life!!

Happy Halloween/Merry Samhain

Hope all those in the Hurricane's path are okay.  I have a large portion of family on the East Coast (especially in New Jersey).  We have heard from some that they are okay.  Others we are still waiting to hear from.

I wanted to share a couple of pictures from my backyard before the wind took down all my leaves.  We have mostly yellow leaves in the Fall.  They are/were very pretty.  When the wind was whipping up the leaves were flying everywhere and Indigo was running back and forth trying to catch each one as the flew by.  Needless to say she was very unsuccessful and a bit confused as to what and why these strange things were trying to attack her...LOL

Below are a few pictures from around the house with some of my Halloween Decorations.  Witch hat and witch are made by Brenda of The Rusty Thimble.  She has a wonderful shop on Etsy.

The stovepipe hat pumpkin was made by Aunt Harriet (who is a seller on e-bay).

Please ignore Indigo's couch.  She is not a good housekeeper...wink, wink.  She did not straighten out her blanket and left bone crumbs all over.  I know a big doggie that will be upset when Mommy finally gets rid of the love seat.  This is one of two pieces of furniture she is allowed on.  The other is our bed.  The stitching is mostly mine with a couple that were received in exchanges.

My patriotic shelf got a bit spookified (is that a word??).  Do you think I might like anything pewter, crockery, red ware or primitive?  Anything old.  Guess that is why I keep hubby around...tee hee hee.

Below is another wonderful creation from Brenda (The Rusty Thimble).  I could not wait to get her out of the box this year.  She fits perfectly in my Shaker rocking chair.  She stays up until the Christmas decorations come out right after Thanksgiving.  I just love all the things I have gotten from Brenda.

My girls are too old for Trick or Treating (16 yrs & 14 yrs old).  My parents, sister and two nieces still come over since we live in a nice neighborhood.  I will be with my hubby and Dad huddled around the fire pit (it we can find any dry wood since it has been raining for several days now) passing out candy to the brave souls that dare to come out in the cold and drizzle.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe night.
