There are 5 things in life you cannot recover: A stone...after it's thrown. A word...after it is said. An occasion...after it's missed. The time...after it's gone. A person...after they die. Life is short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably. Never regret anything that made you smile. Enjoy Life!!

Where are you???

WOW I never intended to be gone this long.  I can't believe that it is mid October and I am just now putting out a blog post.  So, where have I been??  Since the end of May I have been in a whirlwind.

The end of May I flew to Boston with my Mom, Grandma and sister for my cousin's wedding.  It was a beautiful wedding that took place at the Martha-Mary Chapel with the reception, in walking distance of the chapel, at Longfellow's Wayside Inn.  Some of the guests stayed at this historic inn including myself.  We stayed in the haunted room.  It was very cool.

June brought both my daughter's birthdays as well as other extended family member's birthdays.  It also was time for my oldest to start driver's ed.

July hubby had surgery to remove a cyst from his neck.  The week he was off recovering he decided would be a good time to have some minor construction done in our family room to repair water damage from the roof leaking the year before...MEN.  He even decided HE would get on a ladder and wire for a ceiling fan.  He can barely move his head/neck with the incision and he was on pain killers.  Sounds like the perfect time to work with electricity...NOT!!  Good thing I was at work because I would have put him back in the hospital for a different reason...LOL

August brought band camp for my youngest daughter who is a freshman this year and joined the color guard.  She loves it and is very good.  This month also brought the beginning of an end to a very volatile work situation that I have been in for a little over 3 years.

Right after Labor Day was my last day of work.  I have been off work since then looking for a new job, signing up with a temp. agency and trying to heal mentally and physically from the very bad work situation.  I have stopped having so many nightmares and my stomach issues are getting a little better and so are the anxiety attacks.   Working on getting stronger and trying to lose all the weight I gained from the stress.  I am still not anywhere close to how I was 3 years ago.  Not sure if I ever will be the same.  Time will tell.

I have also found my lost sitching mojo.  I did not realize how much I missed stitching.  In the past month I have been working on LK Mystery SAL.  I am on the third part.  I will post a picture soon.

September & October have been busy with birthdays, kids activities, football games, band competitions, clubs, and PSAT for my oldest daughter who is a junior.  I also went on a stitching retreat the first weekend in October.  One of the stitch groups I belong to puts it on.  It was a nice weekend.  You can read about it here on The Inspired Stitcher's Blog.  She is much better at remembering to take pictures than I am.  Hubby and I also celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary on October 12th.  He bought me some beautiful flowers.

I will leave you with a few photos of things I have received from my very generous secret stitcher in the past few months.  The pictures go from the most recent down.  Next post I will show pictures of some of the thrifting & flea markets finds.
